Flexible White-Label Payment and Crypto APIs (Transfers API, Custody API, and Users API) also enable developers to build e-wallets, merchant processing services, and money transfer platforms from the ground up.

Wyre focuses on compliance, licensing, liquidity, banking, and payment processing services so that partners can do what they do best – creating amazing tools on the blockchain.
  • Wyre was established in 2013 and is led by Founder, Ioannis Giannaros. The company most recently completed Series C funding in late 2021 and has raised $55M to date. Headcount has tripled over the last year and the company is in super high growth mode – below are some quick stats from their last year:
    • Reached $100M+ ARR in Q4 2021
    • Grew from $5.8M in revenue in 2020 to $53M in 2021, 813% y/y growth
    • 138 partners at the end of 2020 to 1,486 at the end of 2021, 980% y/y growth

About the role

  • Manage day to day partnership engagement with Wyre’s strategic financial partnerships in the region
  • Navigate, in partnership with BD, banks and issuers to execute deals supporting that strategy and help ensure proper execution plan in place
  • Leverage industry knowledge to craft thoughtful partnership and product strategies with banks and card networks
  • Strengthen relationships with key Wyre partners, including Wyre’s Bank, Payment Method, and Card Network partners
  • Source, engage and grow an ecosystem of partners to enable regional expansion
  • Structure and negotiate deals with partners, as necessary, to facilitate Wyre’s launch in various countries
  • Collaborate with senior Wyre’s leadership, particularly across Product, Engineering and Business, to develop and execute partnership strategies to improve and differentiate Wyre’s products
  • Support local and regional policy and regulatory engagement

About you

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, partner management or similar roles at a technology company
  • Love and passion for Crypto <3
  • Experience working in financial services and/or payments, and a strong understanding of the payments and financial services ecosystem on a global scale
  • Strong commercial and product instincts and ability to identify new strategic opportunities with Wyre’s partners, as well as the ability to collaborate with Wyre’s Product, Engineering and Business organization to build world-class features for our users
  • Demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, setting strategic vision, building commercial relationships and solving complicated problems with limited oversight
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to independently drive complex negotiations to completion
  • Humility and leads by example, setting the right context and helping teammates do their best work
  • An understanding of product strategy and key requirements for scaling products and operations through partnerships, especially with a “users first” mentality
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills, in both verbal and written form, and ability to influence stakeholders across a wide variety of functions
  • Experience working with policy, central bank, or regulatory stakeholders is preferred

After lunch, our target markets have risen, and so your duties will shift to maximising time with people on the phone. This will involve:

Business development
You’ll take the details gathered in the morning to reach out to new prospects, which may include phoning prospects, then booking in Zoom calls after.

Following up
Some clients and candidates will need a bit of chasing after you’ve spoken to them. This might involve getting interview feedback.

As for the candidates you previously headhunted who haven’t yet responded on LinkedIn, you’ll reach out to them again.

Wrapping up
You’ll perhaps confirm interviews, send calendar invites or proposals for retained projects. There will be a team debrief, and you’ll reflect to enable goal setting for the next day.


Mornings are when all our clients, candidates and prospects are asleep, so this is our preparation time. This consists of mostly marketing activities:

Goal setting
Goal setting for what you will get out of the day is a crucial part of how we work. You should note that things change, so midweek you may have to tweak it to stay on track.

Overnight there may have been offers made, interview feedback, responses to marketing emails, or calls booked in. You’ll reply to these, so recipients will see it first thing their time.

You’ll use the likes of Crunchbase, LinkedIn and ZoomInfo to discover exciting companies and their people’s details in our niche, and the best candidates to network with.

Build projects
This is gathering all the information from the previous step. You’ll set up email campaigns with tailored messaging, as well as create bespoke video pitches.
