Looking for a new career move in FinTech?

 

I'm looking for a Director of sales to join a fast growth FinTech start-up, drive revenue and help them grow!

 

The company are a consumer-permissioned data exchange platform, which transforms the way in which businesses access and use consumer data. They empower organizations to access a wide range of trusted consumer data while prioritizing privacy and consent. Some of their solutions are Payroll API's, lending and credit, insurance, property management, employment, and background screening.

 

 

· You will have the ability to quickly understand the client’s business and demonstrate the value of our offering.

· You will be an ace at prospecting; willing to conduct cold calls/emails/LinkedIn messages and mine established contacts to aggressively foster our growth.

· You enjoy owning the end-to-end sales process, can juggle many sales tasks at the same time, are technically savvy, and are excited about selling for an early stage technology company with greenfield opportunities.

Responsibilities:

· Create pipeline and drive revenue focusing on the Financial Services sector (e.g. Lenders, Credit Cards, Fintechs)

· Own the sales cycle from lead through close

· Engage with sales prospects daily to consistently drive new deals through the funnel

· Collaborate with senior team to set revenue goals and company strategy and implement a sales plan to drive revenue

· Work strategically with our CRO on key deals to drive big sales wins for the company

· Work with our product team during feedback sessions to help inform product roadmap that will drive increased revenue

· Collaborate with our Marketing team to create effective product messaging helping driving more top of funnel pipeline

What you bring:

· Minimum of 5+ years of successful software sales experience, with 3+ years of SaaS or other XaaS sales; preference for API sales experience

· Experience in high-growth startup environment

· Interest in API products and a desire to create strategic relationships that help our customers succeed

· Demonstrable track record of above target performance, especially in a startup environment

· Forecasting consistency

· Deep prospecting experience and methodology

· Domain expertise in Financial Services/Lending

After lunch, our target markets have risen, and so your duties will shift to maximising time with people on the phone. This will involve:

Business development
You’ll take the details gathered in the morning to reach out to new prospects, which may include phoning prospects, then booking in Zoom calls after.

Following up
Some clients and candidates will need a bit of chasing after you’ve spoken to them. This might involve getting interview feedback.

Headhunting
As for the candidates you previously headhunted who haven’t yet responded on LinkedIn, you’ll reach out to them again.

Wrapping up
You’ll perhaps confirm interviews, send calendar invites or proposals for retained projects. There will be a team debrief, and you’ll reflect to enable goal setting for the next day.

Mornings

Mornings are when all our clients, candidates and prospects are asleep, so this is our preparation time. This consists of mostly marketing activities:

Goal setting
Goal setting for what you will get out of the day is a crucial part of how we work. You should note that things change, so midweek you may have to tweak it to stay on track.

Communication
Overnight there may have been offers made, interview feedback, responses to marketing emails, or calls booked in. You’ll reply to these, so recipients will see it first thing their time.

Discovery
You’ll use the likes of Crunchbase, LinkedIn and ZoomInfo to discover exciting companies and their people’s details in our niche, and the best candidates to network with.

Build projects
This is gathering all the information from the previous step. You’ll set up email campaigns with tailored messaging, as well as create bespoke video pitches.
