Peak had received a £5m funding round and were ready to scale their commercial operations. They wanted to hire salespeople who had a background successfully selling data solutions, SaaS and tech services. Peak had so far struggled to attract relevant candidates.
Despite boasting a ground-breaking AI solution, Peak were a relative unknown within the UK tech start-up world; partly due to them being early stage, but also because unlike most leading UK tech businesses that are headquartered in London, Peak are based in Manchester.
Org3D’s mission was to find suitable candidates with strong track records, engage and educate them on this incredible start-up business.
Org3D’s research team produced a comprehensive list of companies likely to ‘house’ salespeople with the appropriate background. This was then filtered down to those who had demonstrated stability throughout their careers; something else very important to Peak.
Peak wanted specific vertical market experience (retail and manufacturing), as well as people who had sold big ticket deals at enterprise level. All of these aspects combined were making the talent pool rather small.
A multi-touch point engagement campaign was undertaken to ensure all potential people had been spoken to. This consisted of LinkedIn Recruiter messaging, out of office hours mobile calls, social media engagement and WhatsApp video messaging.
Once a suitable candidate had been qualified it was essential that a stellar job was done articulating Peak’s value proposition; relevant candidates were not in abundance we could not afford to hear ‘no’.
In the initial period after engagement, Org3D introduced 12 sales candidates for the UK sales vacancies and 4 of them were hired; this efficiency saved a substantial amount of time, enabling the leadership team to focus on important business strategy tasks.
Those initial hires have gone on to produce some great results and have played a big part in driving Peak’s UK expansion. Following a fresh funding round, Peak are now growing their US commercial operations and Org3D are supporting on multiple sales and marketing hires once again.
